Her only usefulness was as a model for KC and then branching further out into fashion and Duel Monsters to ‘keep her busy’ - it didn’t work.She then challenged Gozaburo for the company and won again.Because of his death Mokuba had been named as CEO in his will, Serena was only CEO by proxy because her brother was too young to run a company and she aimed to change that; she changed what the company was, produced the solid vision technology and put the company on the gaming map, yet she still wasn’t taken seriously; it didn’t help that her title of Duel Monsters Champion was ruined by losing to Yugi.The loss of her title meant it was difficult to get rid of the Big Five after their betrayal; they constantly bog her down with modeling, interviews, live streams while trying to run the company behind her back.Battle City was ambitious but also a setback, since then she solely concentrated on the theme parks and tech; graduating from high school early and then producing the new duel disk finally earned her some respect, but still being tied to sponsors via modeling meant some older CEOs in the same industry still didn’t see her as an equal.Behind the scenes, she’s working on her biggest - most ambitious - project to date: Duel Academy.

Black DragonsJounouchi the Fist, the infamous leader of the Black Dragons; they were once a small time middle school gang, but after Jou beat Hirutani for leadership he took them to new heights. The Black Dragons run a string of underground gambling houses and move drugs for people of the side, they’re expert information gatherers and nothing goes on in the city without Jou knowing about it.
Tomoya tries to stay out of his brother's business, but more often than not he's the Black Dragon's 'back alley' doctor.
